Wisconsin Technology Association – Talent Programming

This event is open to everyone, in partnership with WI Tech Month!
For the first hour, this session will be led by Sheldon Cuffie, Enterprise Chief Information Officer for American Family Insurance. He will be discussing American Family Insurance’s journey through talent recruitment, retention, and their experience creating a culture of community, both internally and externally.
The second hour attendees will hear 3 mini sessions about Internships, Engagement and Talent Development, and Culture and Experience. Each will be followed by short peer-to-peer engagement sessions with prompted questions to further connect with other organizations about these topics.
Keynote Speakers: Sheldon Cuffie, Enterprise Chief Information Officer, American Family Insurance
Sheldon is Vice President & Chief Information Officer of the American Family Insurance Group of companies and has responsibility for infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, digital workplace, technology risk management, and technology business continuity functions. In addition to his corporate role, Sheldon serves as a board member of the University of Wisconsin Hospital System also known as UW-Health and a board member of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
Previously, Sheldon served as VP & Global CISO of Dell Technologies, Executive Officer, VP, & CISO of Northwestern Mutual, and in IT architecture leadership roles at Harley-Davidson and Abbott Laboratories.
Sheldon is a veteran of the Wisconsin Army National Guard, earned a BA in Management with honors from Concordia University Wisconsin, and MS in Organizational Leadership with honors from Quinnipiac University. Sheldon is a native of Milwaukee, WI and passionate supporter of STEM programs in Southeastern Wisconsin. In 2019, Sheldon and his wife Celeste created an endowment and adopt-a-student program at Concordia University Wisconsin to support diverse students in STEM, nursing and construction related fields.
