The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI) will host “Weather Forecasting: What Machine Learning Can and Can’t Do,” on Thursday, October 23, from 10–11 a.m. (CT). Hear from Dr. Paul Roebber, distinguished professor of atmospheric sciences in the School of Freshwater Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and an NMDSI affiliated faculty member on what is known about Artificial Intelligence Weather Prediction (AIWP) models and the overall challenge of weather forecasting.
