TWIST is a series of robotics competitions, with a twist! Girls take the controls as teams compete in a full day of FIRST Robotics Competition action and awards, promoting an empowering environment for girls to take their skills to the next level. This event is dedicated to providing an opportunity for girls to show their strengths in a predominantly male-dominated field. Through this event, we hope to contribute to closing the gender gap in STEM and promoting inclusive team cultures.
Alongside this event there is a practice competition for FIRST LEGO League, demonstrations from FIRST Tech Challenge, and the Student Opportunity Fair: a gathering of over a dozen colleges, military, and scholarship providers.
