Breathe2Recharge: A Virtual Tranquil Thursday Experience for Midwest Tech Month

Take a pause from the fast pace of tech innovation and give your mind, body, and heart the reset they deserve. Now more than ever we need to dynamically rebalance and recalibrate the wellbeing of inside our work. In this interactive virtual session, you’ll be guided through conscious, connected breathwork practices designed to reduce stress, increase focus, and restore balance.

Breathwork is a powerful wellbeing tool that helps regulate the nervous system, calm anxiety, and spark creativity—making it especially valuable in the tech world where constant connection and high performance are the norm. You’ll learn simple techniques you can integrate into your daily routine to enhance clarity, productivity, and resilience.

No prior experience is needed. Just bring yourself, a quiet space, and an open heart. Together, we’ll breathe new possibilities into being.

The Breathe Setup: The session will be 60-90 minutes long and we will be breathing for around 45 minutes listening to a music playlist aligned with the element of focus/intention, you will have agency to choose what feels resonant in the invitations verbally offered throughout the journey with the primary focus accessing your breath as your medicine. The first 10-15 minutes will be arriving and connecting to intentions and the last 5-30 minutes will be for integration. It is important that you create a little nest for you to feel safe and comfortable. 

You will be lying down in a way that feels comfortable and easeful in your body.

Suggested Things to Bring/Have Ready:

* Set up a cozy space for you to settle your body leaving room to lie down and move as desired.
* Sheet and/or blankets (to cover you), wear layers to adjust for fluctuations in temperature.
* Pillow or bolster to prop any parts of your body for greater comfort and pleasure with the intent to give spaciousness for your body to surrender.
* Water and/or tea (hydration is key!)
* Sacred item if you would like to have one near you
* Journal or place to write/draw/document during integration following the breathe
* Essential oils if desired for your journey

 
10 tips + invitations + suggestions for your breathwork session: 
1. Prepare to create an inner landscape of quiet, stillness, peace, and comfort.
2. You will want to lie down flat on a surface that gives you space to stretch out completely for the actual breathing portion of the session. 
3. You will want to be in a receptive body posture with arms and legs uncrossed. 
4. Feel free to watch this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/@highvibehealingcollective2229) on the conscious connected breath pattern we will use in the session. 
5. Cushions may help make you more comfortable. If you need any extra padding or props under your body or knees, please do what you need to do to be supported. This is your breath work practice and you know your body best. 
6. It is recommended to not have anything too high under the head so your throat will stay open. You can have a thin pillow or a folded blanket as a pillow. You may also want something to cover your eyes. 
7. Body temperatures can fluctuate, so make sure you have a thin sheet and/or blanket nearby and wear comfortable layers of clothing. Please have a bottle of water available to drink at the end of the session.  
8. It is recommended to limit eating 1-2 hours prior to the session and specifically suggested that no heavy meals are consumed ahead of breath work. 
9. Bring some paper, journal and a pen, or crayons beside you. You may be inspired and rediscover creative expression via breath work thus it can be enjoyable to record memories of your experience either with words or pictures.  
10. Think about an intention for your session. What is your intention to receive from this session?
